Prior to joining Drake Cooper, Gilberto went to Al Collins Graphic School in Tempe, AZ. Then worked in OOH Print Production in Phoenix for BP Graphics. Gilberto met his future husband and got whisked away to New York City and began a career at Tag Worldwide (later to become Williams Lea Tag) where he was the lead Production Artist for the clothing retailer H&M’s North & South American markets. Gilberto would eventually manage production studios in West Virginia and New Jersey for WLT working on global luxury brands, retail fashion, banking, and pharmaceuticals. Gilberto has also worked contract positions in Production with XYZ in San Francisco and with Oliver Agency in New York City.
Gilberto was born and raised in the Detroit area; he discover early in life that he had a love for the North American west. Having visited 48 of the 50 states (South Dakota and Louisiana, look out) Gilberto’s seen enough of the states to know that Boise is where he wanted to call home. Gilberto planted roots in Boise way back in 2011 with a 95 year old home. In 2018 he said enough is enough to being the guy that would jump at an opportunity to explore and work new cities, the stars aligned and Drake Cooper had a seat with his name on it.
When not pumping out quality production work for a diverse group of clients, Gilberto can be found exploring the beautiful landscapes of Idaho, on the golf course looking for his ball, working on his stroke at the bowling alley, intensely playing pinball, or at the gym.
