Merc joined Drake Cooper in ‘08 and today leads the agency’s tourism and hospitality brand group, which includes Idaho Tourism, an account the agency has held for over 30 years. In conjunction with the State office, Josh leads project work with other travel brands including lodging properties, airlines, destination marketing orgs and non-profits.
His agency life began in ‘98 as a digital project manager at production studio, Mediaphex. This led to account management posts at Wirestone and Publicis in the West, with a short stop on the client side (HP Boise) in-between. Twenty years later, the City of Trees is still home and upon retiring at 159, he plans to take up turtle racing on Mars.
Prior to joining DC, he co-owned a media manufacturing start-up in Eagle. Josh hails from Rochester, NY and is an Idaho State Communications grad. His favorite place in the state? Anywhere by a river.
When offline, it’s family time with his wife Andrea, their two teenagers and three Japanese Chins. His passions include Toronto Blue Jays baseball, chasing black holes with Neil deGrasse Tyson and growing his hair out for charity. And road trips of course.
