Drake Cooper and all the craft brew connoisseurs at 416 S. 8th St. are happy to welcome Payette Brewing Company on board as a new client.
Payette Brewing Company is a production brewery located in Boise, Idaho that serves craft beer on draft throughout Boise and the Treasure Valley. Owner/Brewer Mike Francis opened the doors in May 2011 with two initial styles, the Outlaw IPA and Payette Pale Ale. Within six months, the brewery more than doubled its capacity and added a third beer to its year-round line-up, Mutton Buster Brown Ale. They’re now also offering seasonal and other limited releases in “The Ales of No Return” series.

It just so happened our kick-off meeting at the facility fell on the one-year anniversary of their first equipment delivery to the facility. They’ve made big strides since then (see photo above), and Payette’s next move will have them expanding and adding more equipment once again. It’s also the reason they’ve partnered with Drake Cooper. Our first assignment will be to design cans! We’re sure this is music to the ears of all local craft brew lovers. Eventually we’ll all be able to take our favorite Payette beers with us on the go (hiking, biking, camping, rafting, etc.) or enjoy them from our homes. Making the move to canning is yet another way Payette is living up to their internal philosophy, “Be Awesome!” Awesome indeed.
You can visit the brewery Thursday through Monday to check out the facility and enjoy a pint in the tasting room. Click here for more information on what’s brewing, hours, and what food trucks are scheduled to be at the brewery. In case you’ve never been, here are a few more snaps we took during our first meeting.
So until cans arrive, visit the tasting room or you can find out where to get Payette beers on the town by clicking here.
