Andrew Piron joins Drake Cooper as Chief Operating Officer

Drake Cooper is excited to announce the addition of Andrew Piron, previously President of digital media firm Balihoo, as our new Chief Operating Officer.

In this new role, Andrew will lead client services and media for Drake Cooper, bringing years of experience in media and marketing technology. Over his seven years at Balihoo, Andrew has held several key positions on the company’s executive team. In his last role as President, Andrew oversaw all marketing, sales, business development and customer success. While at Balihoo, Piron led work with Google, Facebook, and clients Ace Hardware, New Balance, AFLAC, Kohler, and Wendys, among others.

“I am extremely honored to be joining the Drake Cooper team. Over the years, I’ve observed them build an impressive client roster while creating a fantastic culture throughout the company. I have a profound admiration for the innovative and impactful work that they perform for clients. It’s an exciting time in this industry and I’m looking forward to working with an ambitious roster of clients to help them navigate the convergence of technology and media,” said Piron.

Andrew’s career started in the late 1990’s in the San Francisco Bay Area and from the beginning he was passionate about growing startup companies focused in the digital media/technology space. Since then, he has built a strong foundation in this area of marketing while spending the majority of his career leading business development and client service teams.

In the early 2000’s, Andrew held key positions with Spotlife (acquired by Logitech) and Razorfish. At Spotlife, he helped grow the company by forming strategic partnerships to become the largest personal video-sharing website on the Internet at the time, and with Razorfish, Andrew successfully secured new accounts in a business development role (Razorfish was eventually acquired by Microsoft).

In 2002, Andrew and his wife Abigail started a multi-location retail business in the Bay Area called Abigail Morgan. Andrew and Abigail ran and grew the company for six years when they decided to sell the business. While running Abigail Morgan, Andrew also served as director of sales for MeeVee, a video search and discovery Internet website (acquired by Live Universe) where he sold digital media to top brands and agencies in the entertainment space. After MeeVee, Andrew joined Roost, a vertical search engine for real estate (acquired by Vertical Response) where he was director of business development.

In 2008, Andrew and his wife Abigail decided to sell everything that they built and grew together in California, and relocate to Boise. Andrew and Abigail’s decision to move was purely based on raising their family with the quality of life that Boise has to offer. According to Andrew, they instantly fell in love with our little city and the outdoors around us and haven’t once regretted the big life-changing move.

Andrew was educated on the East Coast at The Lawrenceville School and continued his education at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia where he earned a liberal arts degree majoring in History.

Andrew and his wife Abigail live in the Boise foothills with their two children Ella and Reid – who attend Highlands Elementary school. Third billing goes to golden retriever Mojo. When he’s not at work, he’s surfing, mountain biking, skiing, golfing, and just about anything that involves his wife and kids.

Welcome aboard, Andrew!
