Dee Marunde

Dee Marunde (pronounced Mar Un De) is part of our production art team. Dee grew up in the Midwest, but wisely moved to San Diego after one too many winters. Once defrosted, she got her degree in fine art with an emphasis in graphic design from San Diego State University. She has an impressive portfolio, having worked in both in-house and agency settings as a graphic designer, graphics manager, art director and production artist.

In her free time, she loves to do even more art. Her mediums of choice are watercolor and colored pencils. She’s also passionate about staying fit by working out and running three times a week. She knows HGTV is not a channel; it’s a lifestyle, and has been doing remodeling projects on her home for decades. The next hobby she wants to tackle is cooking. She is looking forward to taking some cooking classes (and hopefully her husband and others will get to reap the benefits!)

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

It lies in having the resources — money, talent, supplies — to create my ideas and make them come to life.

What living person do you look up to?

It may sound silly, but it is hard not to be impressed by Taylor Swift. I wish I had a fraction of her talent!

What is your life philosophy?

Self-care is important, and it is my responsibility.

What is your go-to office beverage?

A latte or water with a splash of black tea.

What is the best office snack?

Chocolate, of course!
