Kayla Payette

Kayla joined Drake Cooper in 2022 as an Associate Copywriter. She works with clients (and a handy-dandy thesaurus) using words that bring ads to life. She has the distinct honor of being part of the first class at the University of Nevada to graduate in the Pandemic of 2020. During her job search for an agency position she spent time sharpening her skills by writing blog posts and creating social content for a dietitian. In fact, she’s a big advocate for anti-diet practices in dietetics. She lives with her partner in Reno, NV (ask her about the proper way to say Nevada) and spends her free time watching TV, reading, taking neighborhood walks, or hanging with their dog Suki.

What is the trait you most deplore in others?

Slow walkers. If you get it, you get it. If you don’t, I’ve probably already passed you.

What is your greatest extravagance?

Groceries from Whole Foods.

Which talent would you most like to have?

Being able to do any kind of math problem in my head. I swear that’s a real life superpower.

What is your most treasured possession?

All my printed pictures. I love going back through them and reliving the memories.

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?

When you open your pantry for a snack and remember non-snacky, you went grocery shopping.
