Nick Hanlin

Director of Growth

Nick joined Drake Cooper in 2025 as the Director of Growth to spearhead the large scale of opportunities the agency is facing as a result of consecutive years of record growth. Nick brings a decade of account management and agency growth expertise to Drake Cooper, having spent half of that time in New York City and the other half in Portland, OR.

He began his career at McCann as an Account Manager on their portfolio of Reckitt’s OTC products like Mucinex and Airborne. While there, Nick discovered his passion for new business and transitioned to McCann Worldgroup’s Global Growth team, acting as a pitch manager across the agency network’s largest opportunities for brands like Coca-Cola, L’Oreal, Microsoft, GM, and more. With an opportunity to move back to his home of Portland, OR, Nick took a role with Wieden+Kennedy to manage their Old Spice business, where he helped develop campaigns like Men Have Skin Too and led launches of multiple new product lines for the brand. Eventually, his passion for agency growth led him back to New York City to lead growth for famed Swedish-turned-global agency Forsman & Bodenfors. While there, he helped land new tentpole clients in the auto, finance, food delivery, spirits, and home goods categories.

Two things keep Nick excited about working in advertising. First is the Round 1 creative meeting, where the clients get to sit back and see their brief come to life through the eyes and brains of their trusted partner. Second is his true belief in creativity’s ability to solve the most complex business challenges facing brands today. He feels the best partnerships are born out of an agreement to make bold, ambitious work and looks forward to introducing Drake Cooper to clients who feel the same.

When he’s winding down, Nick enjoys goofing around with his wife and kids, throwing the ball for his dog, and firing up the grill. His weekend pursuits include catching a trout on the fly and remedying whatever new issue has arisen in his ’90s pickup truck.
