Interactive Designer

Job Summary

The ideal candidate should have eye for clean and artful design, possess superior user interface design skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
• Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
• Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
• Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

Requirements

• 1+ years of web design experience
• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
• Familiar with creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
• Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Familiar with PHP and designing/developing in WordPress
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
• Up-to-date with the latest web trends, techniques, and technologies
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum development process
• Bachelor’s degree in related subject

Interactive Developer

Job Summary

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in client-side development and is able to transform requirements into testable, maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software on both client and server side.
• Adapt to changing requirements in a Scrum agile environment.
• Maintain and improve existing products and features.
• Help to ensure the success of the team by promoting best practices and evolving development practices, methodologies, and workflows.

Requirements

• Strong problem solving skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 1+ years experience with CSS, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery (or similar library)
• 2+ years experience with object-oriented languages (e.g. C#, PHP, Java)
• Experience using distributed version control systems (e.g. git, mercurial)
• Experience developing with JavaScript MV* frameworks (e.g. angular, backbone, knockout)
• An understanding of Agile Methodologies and implementations (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills.
• Experience creating and accessing RESTful web services
• Experience with unit and end-to-end testing
• SQL and database experience (preferably SQL Server or mySQL)
• Leadership abilities and a passion/willingness to help fellow team members
